Random Warhammer bits...
Don't know if I have put this on here or not (pretty much like everything else really), but I have a new job! No more working for a Northern Supermarket chain, I now work in a school! They are trusting me to work in a school... hahahaha! Anyhow, one of the teachers here has found out I like "bashing plastic together", I have no idea what that entails but it sounds like model making to me. Could mean something totally different, and with him it probably does... ahem. He asked me a while ago to paint some Warhammer buildings for him, as I didn't have to pay for them I thought why not. The first building he gave me was handed back in February I believe (it's now May), he liked it so much he gave me another and something called a Rhino. Pictures below.
I did know what this thing was called when I first painted it... its now known as Hotel Green Boxes. That was the first ever Warhammer related thing I had finished. Yay...
This was the next thing I was given, this time I was to build it from scratch. Can't say I am impressed with the plastic, the fit or the mould. But it has been an experience. The teacher loved it and said the kids will love it too.
I've had this Rhino sitting around a while now, it was part of the Ultramarines Battleforce set thing I've had for a while now. I decided to finish it and paint it in the colours of what the teacher uses (now on called Latch). He has since taken delivery of it and loves it very much. Bless him...

Completed - Revell 1/72 Hawker Hurricane IIc
I can not actually remember if I have posted any pictures of this aircraft on here or not, been trying to build this one over the last... well it has been a few years at least. The problem I had was the left vertical stabilizer, or more specifically the dog eating it. You couldn't make that up! Well I mentioned on Britmodeller that I was missing it and a nice chap by the name of Vulcanicity helped me by sending him some spares he has (legend!) So with the new bits in hand I got them on, filled and blended in and away I went. I tried to make her really dirty, kinda pulled it off I think.

Completed - TomyTec/Hasegawa 1/144 F-15C "Galm 1" aka "The Demon Lord"
I had this one sitting on the shelf for a while. While this is not 100% completed (I need to sort that canopy out), it's at a stage where I am happy with it and it is sitting on my desk now as a desk model. Pretty cool, that reminds me I need to dust it... anyhow, I used a little bit of superglue here and there mostly on the tanks and the body connection but the rest of the fit was spot on. On to the pictures...
This aircraft is the one you start off with initially and it is the F-15C of "Galm 1", you play as the pilot of this aircraft known only as "Cipher" as you play through the game Galm Team (you and your wingman "Solo Wing Pixy") become known as the "The Mercenary Dream Team". Also a little later on, after the fights at airspace B7R aka "The Round Table" you become known as the "Demon Lord" (partly due to Galm (Garmr) on your tail) and you are respected/loved/hated by fellow pilots. I will get around to making Solo Wing Pixy at a later date really soon. It's bugging me that I haven't finished him yet.

Completed - Bandai 1/144 RX-121-2A Gundam TR-1 "Advanced Hazel"
I should of really been revising for my exams, but I needed a break so I decided to do the last few decals for the Hazel and hopefully get it done. Which I have! :D I'm not too sure on the "stencil" decals but I am happy with the way this has turned out. Learned a little bit from this one, like the fact that Tamiya AS sprays do not like Humbrol based coats... I think I will be getting this one at a later date and making it again in custom colours or doing some kind of custom job on it (now that I have a few of the Gunpla builder series things). Picture time...
Really like this pose for some reason...
I tried to do the classic "weapon layout" pose, but the knee joints are not that flexiable on the Hazel, plus those legs are bloody huge. I tried...
Tried to copy the box art picture... well a little. Think I have kinda pulled it off, plus I just wanted to show off the logo on the shield. :)
I also tried to copy that other classic Gundam pose, once again the legs didn't want to play. It kinda worked... :\
I have decided to buy this kit at a later date again and do a few custom bits to it. Hopefully this time the arm will not break and the colour will not wash away with the varnish.
Let me know what you think...

Completed - Airfix 1/72 Scotish Aviation Bulldog
Well I got this one finished about 4 hours ago, just in time for the GB deadline! Really must plan my time better tbh... oh well. I took the mask off the canopy and noticed that there is a god awful mark on the left hand canopy, I think glue has seeped from somewhere, god knows how! On to the pictures...
I may either buy this kit again at a later date or I will have to try and do something with that canopy, not sure what. Maybe just sand it down... I never realised how much you would be able to see inside! I am used to building aircraft where you can't see sod all inside! Well this is one to add to the completed pile. :)
Hope you have enjoyed my various cock-ups...

Finished! Revell 1/72 Leopard II and T-80B
Well I have finished these two fantastic little kits. Took me bloody long enough that is for sure. I had a right nightmare with the Leopard's decals, well that is not correct entirely... I have lost them. I looked everywhere for them in the man-cave but fount nowt. Buggered if I know where they are! So I was stuck, then while looking around at the big H (Hannants) for... well stuff. I found the newer Leopard II A6 (I think) on sale, which had markings for the Dutch version and the Germany army! Result! So I ordered it and used the German decals for this model and going to do the other one in the dutch colour's that will go well with my Swedish one! The T-80, now that is another story, I painted it all up, I loved the green colour I used on it, but I wanted a camouflaged version (maybe next time). So I had to paint it, that is when my airbrush decided to pack up for good. I am lucky to get any air out of it. I've placed the error down to the nozzle and the needle looked knackered (I have had it nearly two years now!). In a feat of incredible British "Can Do" ingenuity I took bits off the other airbrush I have and used it on the main one. Well the idea was good in principle, that is about all, it failed horribly. I've now since ordered a brand new airbrush and finished off the little T-80 with it. I haven't weathered it yet as I am unsure what to do, but I had a go at the Leopard. I can always go back and dirty it up a little bit I guess. Sorry for the picture quality, it was taken on my phone.
To be fair there isn't really that many decals to on this one. Maybe 6 at most, still they make a lot of difference. I have learned a little bit from this model and plan to apply it to the other ones. I will get pictures of this outside in natural light so you can see it in all it's horror!
Looking at it like this, you really wouldn't guess that I have used two different browns on her would you? Those shovels/spades where a right bugger to paint!
The T-80B, not sure if the brown is the right shade or not, but I am happy with her, it is something different eh? Think I will add some weathering to this one at a later date.
I can honestly imagine that if a T-80 commander ever got himself caught like this next to a Leopard (espically during the Cold War) he would probably have his head between his legs kissing his arse "goodbye". I did cock up the spraying of the brown as it has gone over the wheels. But I think I can use that as some kind of weathering as say it's mud, or give me a good base to work from. We will see when I get some better pictures of it.
PEACE!

Well it has been a while since my last post. I forgot that I had finished this little one. Anyhow here she is in all her glory. Think I will be buying another one and doing it correctly.
Yeah its a little dusty, its amazing how much dust a camera can pick up on eh?

Half Completed - Dragon F/A-18 F and E/A-18G Growler
I can't believe I forgot to post these two before I went away! Anyhow, I've been back a week now from the holiday I spent with Nat and her family in Gran Carina for 2 weeks. Was great just sitting there for two weeks doing nothing. Anyhow back to the models, these two where the only two I could've gotten finished before the dead-line which I did by a few hours iirc. Nat sat there and watched me decal these two, she must of been bored out of her mind. Bless...
Here we have both bugs together... is the Growler still considered a bug?? Decided to leave them both clean except for the ECM pods on the Growler. I can never decide what load-out to put onto the F-18s. I dunno...
If I had known that the cockpit was as clear as it was I would of spent a hell of a lot of time on it. Live and learn I guess, I should of spent so much more time on these than just faffing around.
The decals themselves where not that bad actually. They are the usual Dragon ones printed by Cartograf (spelling?), so you know you have good quality. Behaved well too.
The decals from Jasmine models however... what a pain in the arse! The decals themselves are actually okay, except for the ones on the canopy which are totally unreadable. The problem is the fact they are all overscaled. I compared the actual decals to the ones on the painting guide and they are the same size, where as the model is a wee bit smaller. So I think they should of been for a 1/100 model or something like that instead of my 1/144. So I had to mix and match with what I could and try to make the best I could. Came out okay I guess...
As always, I welcome comments.
PEACE!
